WELCOME TO HAPPY FEET
Happy Feet means a Happy Body & Mind
Reflexology
Reflexology is a treatment where the therapist works primarily on your feet. The theory behind reflexology is that there are “reflex points” in the feet, hands and ears that relate to specific organs and glands in the body. Practitioners believe that stimulating those reflex points promotes health in that organ via the body’s energetic pathways.
When done by a skilled practitioner, reflexology is a deeply relaxing treatment with benefits that can be felt throughout the body. Reflexology can be a good treatment choice for people who want to keep their clothes on during a massage.
Reflexology was first developed in the United States in the early 20th century, and was called “zonal therapy”in its earliest incarnations. It is based on the theory that the body is divided into ten zones running longitudinally from head to toe — five on each side of the body.
Basic Treatments
Foot Treatments begin with a bath of warm water to refresh the feet and relax the client. All our foot massages are done with a focus on the pressure points in the feet and give relief to sore and tired feet allowing blood circulation to improve throughout the body. The foot treatment is done either on a massage bed or sitting up in a massage chair.
The body massages are all deep tissue and relieve tension and knots in the muscles allowing the body to relax afterwards. The body massages shorter than 30 mins are done sitting up on a massage stool fully clothed. The longer body treatments are done while lying on a massage bed.
We serve a complimentary cup of China Green Tea during the treatments as this helps with hydration and relaxation. Green Tea, through regular consumption, is known for assisting with the flushing out of toxins produced in the body everyday.

Happy Feet is the first Traditional, Authentic Chinese Foot Massage Shop in South Africa. Chinese Traditional Foot Massage is a well-established ancient massage and its history goes back more than 2000 years. A book on this subject explains that people’s feet are like a tree roots – When a tree is dry, its roots disappear, when a person is old, the feet wither. The sole of the foot is connected to the body by channels and there are more than 60 acupuncture points which are related to vital organs of the human body. Thus the foot is often called a person’s Second Heart.
The acupuncture points of the feet are stimulated through massage, which in turn may adjust the body’s physiological functions, thus preventing disease, caring for facial skin and having a curative effect generally. Recently this form of therapy has become very popular in Asian Countries, e.g. China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
